The Council On Biblical Manhood and Womanhood (CBMW) Responds to the New NIV (2011)

“So, though we are genuinely thankful for the many positive changes in the new NIV(2011), and though we are deeply appreciative of the very different process by which our friends at the CBT and Zondervan pursued and unveiled this new version, we still cannot commend the new NIV(2011) for most of the same reasons we could not commend the TNIV.”

  1. I see the NIV 2011 failing. Not because of gender inclusive language solely, but because of broken promises and the rejection of the TNIV. it’s like the CBT is trying to force it’s will on an entire readership that rejected it’s first attempt. With the competition of the ESV, NLT, and the HCSB I predict the NIV 2011 will not have the number one status of it’s healthier 1984 version.
